The Fridley Girls Basketball team beat Richfield 54-47 on Tuesday night. It was a great team effort from the Tigers. The Tigers successfully broke a difficult Richfield press for most of the night. As a team, Fridley outrebounded Richfield 21-16, and created 24 Richfield turnovers. Junior guard Juliana Harris led the Tigers with 17 points. 8th-grade guards Brandi Washington and Mya Karsten chipped in 7 and 6 points respectively, and juniors Kunga Namgyal and Anika Johnson added 6 points in a balanced team effort.
