Senior guard Cadence Hansen celebrated Senior Night by scoring 40 points leading Fridley to a 104-29 victory over Columbia Heights. Hansen made 10 of 15 three-pointers to lead the Tigers who hit 16 total three-pointers in the game. Junior forward Kunga Namgyal pitched in 9 points with 3 three-pointers of her own. The Tigers amassed 26 assists as a team, with 8th-grade guard Mya Karsten leading the team with 9 assists. Fridley had a solid defensive effort forcing Columbia Heights into 39 turnovers and creating 27 steals. 8th-grade guard Brandi Washington had 8 steals to lead the team. Fridley will play Friday night at DeLaSalle in a section 4AAA quarterfinal match-up.
